Since her graduation from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1984, Kathryn Rushent has established a successful career as an artist with painting sales throughout North America. Working in acrylics on myriad subjects, she weaves any number of realist styles-magic, surrealist, high realist and naïve included-into a seemingly photographic product … a combination which brings together even incongruous elements into a seamless whole. It is this sort of “trickery” that drives her art-and seems to drive her sales as well.

Aside from numerous private sales, Kathryn has had many major corporate sales, including IGC, Re/Max Mountainview Real Estate, Air Adventures Balloon Tours, Handicapped Freedom Tours, White Iron Video, Trax Recording Studios of Hawaii, several law firms, and the Johanna Bates Literary Agency. Recently, the Alberta Federated Cooperatives commissioned her to do two large murals for the new Airdrie Co-op, which opened in October, 2000.

Kathryn is also a writer, with a major television series she created and
wrote the entirety of, along with accompanying novels, being negotiated
for by several major production companies/networks and publishers-
and a musician/ composer, with several of her songs currently under
consideration for a major movie soundtrack, for which she readily thanks
old friends.

Private commissions and sales are welcomed.
